Medical City Weatherford September 07, 2018

Sean Kamber, FACHE, has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Medical City Weatherford. His first day is October 1.

For the last year, Kamber has been vice president of rural and community outreach for HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division, identifying and developing strategic opportunities for collaboration in the secondary and tertiary service areas. Prior to that, he served as chief operating officer at Weatherford Regional for three years. In that role, he helped improve CMS hospital ratings, increased growth in adjusted admissions and surgery, and completed the joint venture acquisition for the imaging center.

Kamber brings more than 12 years of healthcare experience to the role. His career began as division manager for a urology group and he quickly advanced to higher-level leadership roles, including director of operations at Texas Health Resources and assistant administrator at Laredo Medical Center.

“Sean’s knowledge and experience with rural outreach and the Weatherford community will help ensure an exceptional experience for patients and families,” says Erol Akdamar, FACHE, president of Medical City Healthcare. “I’m confident he will help lead Medical City Weatherford to the next level of excellence.”

Kamber received a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and holds an undergraduate degree from the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business.

“I’m thrilled to return to and serve the Weatherford community,” says Kamber. “I’m honored to once again work alongside this highly skilled team of healthcare professionals and to help develop new strategies to fulfill our mission of the care and improvement of human life.”
